Welcome to Spotted Hart Stables. We are a small family operated breeding farm dedicated to producing quality appaloosas that ride and look good. The appaloosa naturally lends itself to being an excellent family horse. We take pride in the disposition of the foals that come from our farm. Raised as part of the family most foals have been imprinted from day one. We always managed to spend lots of play time with the new arrivals.

Located in the beautiful mountains of central Pennsylvania our farm provides ample space for the foals to grow in freedom and develop properly. Our goal has always been quality, therefore we have concentrated on Bright Eyes Brother, Mighty Bright and Prince Plaudit bloodlines. We believe the disposition and athletic ability of these bloodlines to be excellent and most of our present Broodmares trace to these sires. Although color is never guaranteed in the Appaloosa business, we strongly prefer and select individuals with color. Along the way, my personal preference for black horses has created a collection of black and white horses in our pastures. Our stallion, Navarre Khan has strengthened that preference by producing 50% black foals. Check Navarre out closely if you are looking for a stallion to breed your mare.

We only sell the home-grown variety so we can be sure of what we are selling. Occasionally, we have some started horses for sale but they usually do not hang around the farm very long.
